About Me

My photo
I'm finally moving towards owning my own painting company, after wanting one of almost 25 years. I've been gaining experience of painting for others for years, which I've truly enjoyed. I'm back in school, earning another degree, but this time in Business. By having the knowledge of the behind the scenes in business, I feel I'll have a greater advantage in direction I'm headed. I look forward to overcoming obstacles and moving toward my goal of being a successful business owner. The purpose of the blog is to track my progress, from overcoming my fears, to tracking my successes.

Suprise!!!

George brought home this beautiful four month old standard poodle today. His name is Benny. He is so black, I had to use the "fill light" in photo editing just to brighten up the picture so you could see him! George had first told me about it last week while I was out of town. I strongly disagreed and did not approve. I have no time to take care and train another dog and I really didn't want that big of a dog. George talked about him a couple more times to me since then and I just didn't want to hear it. It's not in our game plan. I hate to say it, but George and the kids tag-teamed me and I didn't have a choice in the matter. The puppy is an $1800.00 dog, AKC registered and whose grandfather won the AKC/Eukannba National Championship twice. George got him for free. The previous owner signed the "title" over to us. Can you believe that? Benny has registration papers just like a car! There is alot of responsibility that comes with Benny and I told George that he was responsible, not me. He agreed and so did Forrest and Sadie to take care of all of the needs, etc. If we do keep him, I want him fixed, but George doesn't. The previous owner paid $1500.00 to have a "baby-daddy", if you know what I mean. George would like to breed him or pimp him out for slang. I do have to admit, Benny is a beautiful puppy and is so delicate and very shy in natureand he hasn't made a sound yet, even when he walks. He is afraid of Carhartt, and we all know that Carhartt isn't afraid of no one! The mighty Carhartt will definately be the dominate of the two. George is really hoping Benny will bond to Forrest. We bought Carhartt for Forrest and he happened to bond with me! At the moment, he is snuggled up to Forrest and Sadie is sleeping on the extra mattress on the floor with hopes Benny will snuggle with her too. Benny is already a part of our family whether I like it or not. Nthing I can do but love him too. I hate peer pressure!

I am glad you got him TJ! I knew you would with those 3 wanting him so bad! He will be a great dog but I would also want him fixed unless I KNEW he could bring in some money!!

He is adorable and I can't wait to meet him! He is going to get BIG!! I wonder how Cricket will react to him too....just like Carhartt though....they both are the pack leaders and Benny will just have to get in line!!

Where do you keep him during the day?

Benny is beautiful! I have a friend who has a standard poodle and they are a large dog, but have the loving, poodle nature. It'll be better when he is house broken. You might stop by the pet store and pick up a book about Poodles. Then again, you probably wouldn't find one. Other breeds of dogs are more popular than poodles. Maybe you shouldn't have put on your blog how much Benny is worth.People like to steal dogs like that. Just a thought.I can't can't wait to see him!

Oh my gosh! Your Kids have grown! I found your blog site and enjoyed looking at your pictures. Oh, the only dogs I get to enjoy is Beth's and I love those two dogs. I take them for walks whenever I can. They love their grandma. :)

I would love for someone to take the dog! It's not stealing if you give it to them! I don't want the dog!!!!
