About Me

My photo
I'm finally moving towards owning my own painting company, after wanting one of almost 25 years. I've been gaining experience of painting for others for years, which I've truly enjoyed. I'm back in school, earning another degree, but this time in Business. By having the knowledge of the behind the scenes in business, I feel I'll have a greater advantage in direction I'm headed. I look forward to overcoming obstacles and moving toward my goal of being a successful business owner. The purpose of the blog is to track my progress, from overcoming my fears, to tracking my successes.

Snow Day

Forrest is making something really special for Sadie! Sadie! Where are you? I have something for you! Come and get it!

Sadie is attempting to make a snow angel...Notice there is more green grass than snow!

Forrest thought it was a clever idea to use the rack to scrape the snow off the roof. Some snow did make it into his hands, but the rest went inside his jacket! Brr!

This is one side of the front yard with a "dusting" of snow on the ground. As I am blogging at this moment, the ice is melting and the snow is disappearing. I am waiting for the day when we get 6-8" of snow and ice and the whole North Alabama is shut down for a couple of weeks like it did with the ice storm of 1985. Does anyone remember that?

Party??!!?? What party! Did I miss something??:)

I do remember that ice storm. I remember sliding down the front yard and then having a hard time getting back up! Remember we had to punch holes in the ice to climb back up so we could slide down again???

You got more snow than we did. We just got "flutter fluff" in the air as Amy called it. It was cold and windy here too. It looks like Forrest and Sadie had lots of fun.
